SYNTRICITY’S SOFTWARE AS A SERVICE (SAAS) MODEL SELECTED BY FYRESTORM FOR SEMICONDUCTOR ENTERPRISE YIELD MANAGEMENT
Demand for SAAS delivery model increases as semiconductor manufacturers look to reduce IT-related capital investments and overhead costs
SAN DIEGO, CALIFORNIA, March 30, 2006 – Syntricity Inc. announced that FyreStorm Inc., Sunnyvale, Calif., has signed a three-year license agreement for its enterprise yield management (EYM) software suite, dataConductor.com™. The agreement includes access to dataConductorEP’s™ Advanced Monitoring for Production (AMP™) application and Power User analysis tools, using Syntricity’s Software as a Service (SaaS) delivery model, dataConductor.com. The software will enable FyreStorm to characterize parts, organize data, monitor production, and secure a platform for storing and sharing engineering data. FyreStorm is a growing fabless semiconductor company that provides innovative power conversion and power management solutions for high-volume, portable, battery-operated consumer electronics devices.
The dataConductor.com interactive EYM solution combines best practice intelligence with sophisticated data analysis software. It enables semiconductor manufacturers to automatically collect data throughout their supply chain from diverse manufacturing systems and combine them into a single warehouse to manage yields during characterization, yield ramp, and volume production. The software’s Web-native interface makes yield results available throughout the organization, from engineer to manager to executive.
