SYM — Supplier Yield Management

SYM lets you focus on identifying and resolving the most significant issues across equipment, multiple wafer fabs, or assembly and test facility suppliers. SYM is a true integration of MES and detailed electrical yield reports, resulting in a single-point interface for quickly assessing product yields from multiple viewpoints and time periods. SYM reports are optimized for comparing yields related to hardware or software attributes such as tester types, loadboards, probe cards, and test programs, as well as comparing your product families, fabs, and assembly and test houses, all within seconds. When a specific yield issue becomes apparent, SYM reports are linked to Syntricity's other software applications – AMP, Power Tools, and RaCR – to perform detailed bin, parametric or correlation analysis.

SYM Reports

SYM reports are designed for easy interpretation and can be used at all levels of your organization, including executive management, operational managers, and engineering. SYM starts with a choice of three different summary level reports: 1) a Product Summary displaying yields for three time periods; 2) a Supplier Summary displaying yields for three time periods; or 3) a Product/Yield Graph. The three time periods are customizable (common choices are day/week/month and week/month/quarter) and can be saved as a profile for daily reports. Any of the products or suppliers in question can be investigated via an easy drill-down to four report choices. The drill-down reports allow the user to isolate a specific lot problem, date coincidence, or test attribute which may be contributing to yield issues. At any point, the user can choose to use Syntricity's AMP, Power Tools, or RaCR, and the selected material is carried over into these analysis applications.

AMP provides automated analysis flows and the ability to trace the genealogy of material through all operations, providing such benefits as correlation of final test or wafer sort to WAT results. RaCR provides in-depth analysis for characterization, engineering studies, and root-cause analysis of production parametric data.
